Ramu Produced 43,066 Tonnes Of MHP And 16,578 Tonnes Of Nickel in The First Half Of 2021

Ramu will produce 43,066 tonnes of MHP in the first half of 2021, including 16,578 tonnes of nickel, with a nickel capacity utilization rate of 102% (designed capacity is 32,600 tonnes of nickel per year).

The company produced 20,221 tonnes of MHP in the second quarter, including 7,773 tonnes of nickel metal.

Ramu sold 28,042 tonnes of MHP in the second quarter, up 47 per cent from a year earlier, the highest ever due to rising nickel and cobalt prices. Sales of nickel were 10,975 tonnes, up 45 per cent year-on-year.

The previous quarter forecast full-year 2021 nickel production of 32,000 to 34,000 tons.
